Is it Possible to Become Taller Following Puberty?

People in American may be shocked to find out that they are not getting taller as a result of poor nutrition. As it turns out, living in the most prosperous nation in the world may mean that you’re more likely to have a substandard diet. This area of research and study has been looked at extensively by scientists and researchers. As it so happens, average height is one of the key factors in making this determination. The United States used to have the tallest people in the world, but that award now goes to the citizens of countries in western Europe instead. So what does that mean for the US citizen that wants to learn how to buck the trend and learn how to get taller.

Unfortunately, the bad news doesn’t end at the diminishing height of the average American. Compared to western Europeans, Americans are living shorter lives as well. Rather unsurprisingly, the slump in national height averages begin right about the same time as the average lifespan in the US began to decline. What is shocking is that while the rest of the world is enjoying longer lives, Americans have dipped to being ranked 30th in life expectancy.

While wealth used to be the overwhelming deciding factor of how tall a country’s population averaged, this is no longer the case. And even health care - or lack thereof - can't take all the blame as well. Researchers have found one common denominator that is strangling Americans from growing taller – lack of adequate nutrition.

It seems shocking that even though the United States is the richest country in the world that so many people in it suffer from a lack of adequate nutrition but its true. Americans’ over-indulgence in greasy, fast food is not only a major contributing factor to deadly obesity but also to dwindling height. Most Americans aren't getting enough omega-3,6, and 12 fatty acids as well as the vitamins that come from green vegetables.

The fundamental mechanism that is lacking is essential nutrition, which is crucial to grow taller. Countless hours of research has determined this fact to be indisputable. Nutrition is the backbone of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which will make or break your height as a child and, ultimately, as an adult as well.

Before you begin your attempts to grow taller, you must take a long, hard, and objective look at your nutritional habits. More likely than not, you’re probably going to have to make some adjustments to your nutritional lifestyle.

This should serve as a definite reminder for anyone wanting to know how to increase your height – before you succumb to the temptation of the drive-thru restaurant remember that nutrition is absolutely critical to overall health and height at ANY AGE.
